‘Feel the ocean in your body as you do the ‘ocean breath’.
Lying down relax your body and feel you are floating in the ocean or visualize this sitting in easy pose. This breath is great to do if you are near the ocean too, stimulating the senses – feeling the spray of the ocean wave water, the warmth of the sun, the wind blowing over you and the sound of the waves crashing on the sand. You can also visualize this using ocean music or your own imagination.
Breathe in through your nose with your hand on your tummy as you ride the crest of the wave (tummy rising up) and exhale through your mouth the sound of a rolling ocean wave out (ha) and feel your hand moving back toward your spine.
Do for 2-3 minutes and then take a deep breath in and out. This is a very relaxing breath to do before bedtime.
