“The New Canada Food Guide brings more emphasize on healthy eating at home and how we eat.”

Health Canada released the revised Canada Food Guide (CFG) in January with many changes – more plant-based food, more fruits and veggies, less meat and dairy and water as the main drink of choice. And yes, there are no longer specific serving sizes listed. Dairy is listed under the sub-section of Foundational Food.

Health Canada refused to meet with lobby groups in preparing this new CFG and has also put more focus on ‘How to Eat’.  Here is a snapshot view of the new food guide.
